What Strong Minds Is
Strong Minds is not tutoring and it’s not random practice. It’s a structured system designed to help students build clarity, consistency, and measurable academic growth.
Students always know where they are, what they need to work on, and what progress looks like.
Every week follows a clear rhythm that builds consistent habits and removes overwhelm.
Everything students do is tied to real progress, not just completing assignments.
Students grow alongside peers, building confidence, accountability, and stronger thinking.
Student Experience
Every student moves through a structured 6-week journey designed to build stronger learning habits, accountability, confidence, and the ability to keep going when learning gets challenging.
Each student begins with a diagnostic, clear starting point, focused growth goals, and an individual Math + Reading/Language Arts plan for the next six weeks.
Students follow an individualized Monday–Friday practice path so they know what to work on, build consistency, and practice following through even when the work gets challenging.
Students connect throughout the week through Growth Lab, optional Study Hall, and a near-peer Mentor Huddle designed to strengthen thinking, belonging, and accountability.
Students work toward clear weekly goals, see their progress, earn family-selected rewards when criteria are met, and learn to take ownership of how they finish each week.
Inside the 6-week journey
Strong Minds students begin as Apprentices and finish the cycle as Practitioners, growing in consistency, confidence, accountability, and stronger thinking along the way.
For Parents
Strong Minds keeps parents informed without requiring them to become the teacher, tutor, or curriculum planner.
Parents receive a clear picture of where their child is beginning in Math and Reading/Language Arts, including strengths, growth areas, and what needs attention first.
Each student receives a focused Mission Brief that turns his starting point into clear goals and an individualized path for the six-week cohort.
Each week, parents receive a concise update on participation, progress, areas needing attention, and whether the student's weekly and bonus reward criteria were earned.
At the end of six weeks, parents receive a final report comparing academic information from the beginning and end of the cohort, along with observed learning habits and recommendations for what comes next.
Built for parent confidence
You support the routine at home. Strong Minds provides the structure, learning plan, progress tracking, accountability, and communication surrounding your child's work.
Early Strong Minds Student
Before Strong Minds became a formal six-week cohort, we used its core approach with Graceson: understand the starting point, create a focused plan, practice consistently, provide structured support, and measure progress.
Case Study Snapshot
While using the early Strong Minds model, Graceson's measured academic levels increased in both reading and math, with especially strong movement in reading.
Reading Growth
STAR Reading placed him at an Advanced level, scoring higher than 96% of 3rd graders.
Math Growth
STAR Math placed him at a Proficient level, scoring higher than 76% of 3rd graders.
Graceson's experience helped shape Strong Minds. Giving a student a clear starting point, focused goals, consistent practice, structured support, and a way to see progress became the foundation of the Strong Minds model. We have since developed that approach into a structured six-week experience that also builds accountability, community, and stronger learning habits.
Important context: These are Graceson's verified individual results from an early implementation of the Strong Minds approach, before the formal cohort pilot. Individual student results will vary.

Why This Approach Works
In every other part of life, families expect feedback, visibility, and clear progress. Education should not be the one place where parents and students are left guessing.
When students know where they are starting, it becomes easier to focus effort, remove confusion, and build momentum with purpose.
Whether a child is homeschooled or in school full-time, parents need a simple way to understand progress before small gaps become bigger ones.
Students grow faster when practice is guided by what they actually need, rather than guessing, over-repeating, or hoping things improve on their own.
For families who want stronger academic support without the cost of private school, a focused system can offer clarity, accountability, and measurable progress at a far lower cost.
Why families choose Strong Minds
A visible starting point. A structured path forward. A consistent weekly rhythm. And proof of growth that both students and parents can actually see.
FAQ
Strong Minds is intentionally structured. Here’s what families should know before deciding whether Cohort 1 is the right fit.
No. Strong Minds is a structured academic growth program. Students begin with a diagnostic, receive an individualized learning path, practice consistently, participate in live experiences, and track their progress across six weeks.
Yes. Cohort 1 is fully virtual. Students participate in their individual practice and live Strong Minds sessions from home.
Strong Minds is best for students who can benefit from more structure, consistency, accountability, and clarity around their learning. Students do not need to be behind academically. The program is designed for families who want their child to practice doing challenging work, build stronger learning habits, and become more aware of his own progress.
No. Strong Minds can support both homeschool and traditionally schooled students. The program provides an additional structured learning environment with individualized practice, progress visibility, accountability, and peer community.
Struggle is not failure in Strong Minds. Students are expected to encounter work that challenges them. We don't expect perfection — we expect effort, communication, participation in required sessions, and follow-through. The Program Manager helps students break challenges down, provides appropriate support, and communicates with parents when a pattern needs attention. Accountability is part of building a Strong Mind.
The goal is for students to take increasing ownership of their Strong Minds routine. Parents do not need to sit beside their child or teach the work. Younger students may still need occasional help with logging in, technology, or staying on schedule.
Students need a laptop or computer, reliable internet access, and an appropriate place to complete their work and participate in live virtual sessions. Strong Minds uses IXL for individualized Math and Reading/Language Arts diagnostics and practice.
No. IXL access is included in the Cohort 1 enrollment. If your child already has an IXL account, we'll coordinate the access needed for Strong Minds. If your child does not have access, Strong Minds will provide it for the six-week cohort.
Students complete approximately 30–45 minutes of assigned individual practice Monday through Friday. Growth Lab is Monday at 3:00 PM CT, optional Study Hall is available Tuesday, Wednesday, and Friday at 3:00 PM CT, and Mentor Huddle is Thursday at 3:00 PM CT.
Mentor Huddle is a weekly near-peer experience designed to strengthen belonging, motivation, and accountability. An older male student mentor meets virtually with the boys to celebrate progress, talk through ordinary challenges, encourage them, and help them finish the week strong. The mentor is not a tutor or replacement for the Program Manager, and an adult Program Manager provides oversight during the Huddle.
Each family chooses its own Weekly Reward and optional Bonus Reward during onboarding. Completing all five assigned days earns the Weekly Reward. Students may also complete three optional bonus activities to earn the family's selected Bonus Reward. Strong Minds verifies whether the criteria were earned, and parents provide the agreed reward. Rewards do not need to cost money.
Students have until Friday at 5:00 PM CT to complete the week's required work for the Weekly Reward. If something outside the student's control affects participation, families should communicate with us so an appropriate adjustment can be considered. If a student simply chooses not to complete the work, the normal accountability criteria still apply.
No. Parents do not need to attend student sessions. Your role is to support the routine at home, encourage follow-through, review Strong Minds updates, fulfill your family's agreed rewards, and communicate with us when needed.
Students begin with a diagnostic that establishes their starting point in Math and Reading/Language Arts. Strong Minds also tracks participation and progress throughout the six weeks. At the end of the cohort, students complete a final diagnostic and parents receive an end-of-cohort report showing academic information, observed learning habits, and recommendations for what comes next.
Cohort 1 has a fixed schedule because the small-group experience is an important part of Strong Minds. Study Hall is optional, but families should make sure their child can participate in the required live experiences before enrolling.
The Cohort 1 Founding Rate is $45 per week for six weeks, for a total six-week commitment of $270. This includes the diagnostic process, individualized Mission Brief, IXL access if needed, weekday learning path, live Strong Minds experiences, progress tracking, parent communication, and the final progress report.
Apply first. After your application is reviewed and your child is accepted, you'll receive the enrollment steps. Your first $45 payment officially secures enrollment and begins onboarding. The remaining five payments are billed weekly during the six-week program.
Yes. Strong Minds is designed as a complete six-week experience, not a week-to-week drop-in program. Families enrolling in Cohort 1 are making a good-faith commitment to complete all six weeks. If a major or unexpected circumstance affects your family's ability to continue, communicate with us directly.
